This was taken during the first year of school. I remember being a fairly, uh, vibrant kid one way or another.

I certainly had a sense of fantasy and escape. I wanted to BE The Flying Nun - or Jeannie, or Samantha Stevens, or Wonder Woman – it goes on like this ...

My grandmother made the headpiece.

I always knew I was gay, and this pic isn’t as embarrassing now, as it used to be.
